Digital Works

The works here are stills that  exemplify my abilities with digital art media.  In the digital art world, I enjoy hand painted texturing, prop modeling, environment modeling, and setdressing.  I am also a proficient photo-real texture artist.  My programs of choice are Photoshop, Illustrator, Autodesk Maya, ZBrush 4R4, and UDK.

This project was a venture into stylized modeling and hand painted texturing.  I was particularly inspired by the art of games like World of Warcraft and Guild Wars.  One of the major things I was thinking about as I made this was creating a balance between a natural and refined look.  (Modeled in Maya 2014, Textures painted in Photoshop CS6)

World of Warcraft has long been a creative inspiration for me.  The texture work and style of Blizzard's art has always been truly stunning.  Watching the game and art grow over the years motivated me to start working on showing the direction I think the Night Elf architecture can move.  (Modeled in Maya 2014, textures painted in Photoshop CC)

Five Suns
Demo

Five Suns is the game demo I developed with my classmates at SCAD over our senior year.  Working as an environment and 2D effects artist on this project was both challenging and rewarding.  In the end, after many failures, the art of Five Suns ended up being some of the most beautiful I have had the pleasure of working on.  For this project, I worked primarily in Photoshop CC.

Current
Global Game Jam 2014

Current's philosophy was to create a game with an environment that reflected player behaviors.  This comes from the Global Game Jam 2014 design prompt was a quote from Anais Nin, "We don't see things as they are, we them as we are."  On this project I served as Art Director and a 2D Environment Artist using Photoshop CC.
